Every Dream Girl collection begins with a woman — someone with a story of resilience who faced circumstances that could have defined her, but instead fueled a dream. That’s where Dream Girl comes in.
Each collection is inspired by the girl's homeland — its spirit, beauty, and heritage. We then partner with local designers and artisans to bring that inspiration to life through a curated collection. A portion of each sale goes directly to the Dream Girl, turning the collection into a launchpad for what she hopes to create. We connect her with mentors, resources, and people who can open doors. And you — our community — are invited to be part of it. Together, we bring her closer to her dream, one piece at a time.
Meet Xenia Odysseos, our Greek Dream Girl.
After losing both of her parents at just 11 years old, Xenia was forced to grow up long before she should have. Amidst the grief, Xenia had to advocate for herself and little sister. Nothing was guaranteed, and they faced some of life's hardest moments on their own.
At 24, Xenia has already lived through more than most, but she hasn’t let loss define her: “I never wanted to see myself as a victim of my circumstances — they forged my independence and gave me a deep gratitude for life.”
Determined to turn hardship into purpose, Xenia pursued law, earning her LLB before going on to complete a master’s in Medical Law. Her mother’s death, the result of a medical misdiagnosis, deepened her commitment to justice: “fighting for justice has always come naturally to me — it’s not just a career choice, but a personal mission.”
Xenia dreams of one day opening her own law firm — a practice that gives people a voice and makes justice attainable for all. Having felt powerless before, Xenia is committed to helping others reclaim their own power in the face of adversity.
Xenia’s story is one of strength, joy, purpose, and refusing to let hardship shrink the size of her dreams. We are endlessly inspired by her, and beyond honored to have her as our Greek Dream Girl.
Hope’s Story
It all started with Hope.
Born in captivity, Hope experienced firsthand the fear, violence, and systematic instability that tore through Uganda in the early 2000s. Witnessing this reality instilled in her a deep conviction to fight for social change. She was determined to transform her hardship into something greater.
Jo was in Uganda on a Notre Dame project when she met Hope. From the moment they met, Jo knew Hope was a rarity. She spoke with dazzled eyes about her dreams of attending university and one day becoming the United Nations Ambassador for Uganda. It was clear to Jo that Hope’s potential far exceeded the opportunities she had been given.
With the help of incredible mentors, Jo made it her mission to get Hope to Notre Dame. The two met in January 2023, and by August, Hope was boarding her first flight, leaving Uganda for the first time, and stepping into a future she had once only dreamed of. She finished her first semester with a 4.0.
Now entering her senior year, Hope has received numerous awards, studied abroad in France, London, and Milan, and continues to embolden others with her contagious spirit. She approaches education with intention — choosing what to study based on what will best equip her to create meaningful change in Uganda. She is determined to expand opportunity for other women, so that their potential is never limited by circumstance.
Inspired by Hope's story, Dream Girl was born to help bring the dreams of other girls around the world to life. Brave, resilient, and wise beyond her years, Hope knows what she wants and isn't afraid to take the leap. She is the reason Dream Girl exists — and because she dared to dream, so can they.
